Every edit leaves a trail. Edit Trail keeps a full history of edited and deleted messages in the channels you choose, so your moderators can see what was said, what changed, and when.

Watch the channels you choose

  • Pick channels or whole groups under Channel assignment in the app's settings
  • Every version of every message is saved from then on
  • The last 100 messages are saved as a starting point when a channel is added
  • Remove a channel to stop saving it; its history stays hidden until it expires

See exactly what changed

    Light theme

    • Edit Trail now follows your Root theme. If you use Root's light theme, Edit Trail shows in light colors too, and it switches as soon as you change your theme.
    • Badges and labels have squarer corners, and channel labels stay compact on phones.
  2. v1.0.5

    More room for history

    • Edit Trail can now keep up to 490 MB of history, up from 400 MB, and still stays inside Root's 500 MB limit.
    • When the history gets that full, the oldest messages are removed first and the space goes back to Root right away.
    • The community owner sees what's new once for each version.
